Chris Judd, Carlton captain the 2010 Brownlow Medallist

Despite the odds being given for a Dane Swan and Gary Ablett as a quinella, Chris Judd came out of nowhere to win this year's Brownlow Medal. It's not as if he didnt deserve, because he led his team on and off the field superbly, its just that many thought the key midfielders of the league's leading teams would simply poll better than Judd.

2010 AFL Select Prestige Updates

No doubt most people, collectors and many of our Facebook fans have seen the first of 3 images that have been released as 'sneak peeks' regarding the new afl series 2 product - 2010 AFL Select Prestige

The latest images show a 2009 AFL All-Australian Team Foil Signature card, whilst the most recent, released this week looks like a draft signature of some sort, featuring Essendon rookie Jake Melksham, inserted 1 per 72 packs.

No further news on prices or a specific release date in July as of yet.

We just heard from Topps and the 2010 AFL Topps Chipz Logo Redemption Chipz are now on their way to collectors! Most peeps who sent them in should have them sometime next week.

2010 AFL Herald-Sun cards have been super-popular despite the Rising Stars set being deleted from this year's insert series. The signatures of Chris Judd, Luke Hodge, Jimmy Bartel and Jason Akermanis have been eagerly sought-after, despite being numbered out of 800, these are fetching a minimum of $100 each!


Also, the AFL Umpires' Association with Footycards.com.au have just released their 2010 AFLUA Collector Cards featuring 66 current AFL umpires, 3 legends & 3 header discipline cards. The 2010 AFL Teamcoach cards this season changed the format slightly this year, including all the 16 team's captains as a special insert available as commons, silver and gold versions. These have been rather popular along with this year's set of Magic and Star Wildcards.

The first AFL Releases in 2010!!!

Okay, so this week a staggered release has occurred, and earlier than we and others would have expected of the new 2010 AFL Footy Plays, available in packs of chips including THINS, Samboy and CC's.

There are 80 different 3D Footy Plays to collect in the 2010 series, with each team featuring 3 different players, 1 regular team logo, and the ultra-rare GOLD 3D Mascot Team Logo which are inserted approximately 1 per 20 packs.
